Pourquoi un concours de robotique et d'IA ?
ELVIATECH vise à encourager les gouvernements africains, les donateurs privés et les entreprises locales à investir davantage dans la robotique et l'intelligence artificielle sur le continent.
Le concours est une initiative sous-régionale qui vise à rassembler différentes équipes de plusieurs pays pour mener des recherches en robotique afin de résoudre des problèmes spécifiques aux réalités africaines.

Dear participants, whether you’re a seasoned member of the ELVIATECH community or new to our platform, Sparte Robotics and the Cameroon Robotics Association extend a warm welcome to you.
As we embark on this new edition of ELVIATECH, we express our gratitude for your continued support of this research and innovation platform. At ELVIATECH 2024, we’re not just hosting a competition—we’re fostering a vibrant community of robotics and AI enthusiasts.
The competition is open to all, regardless of your level of expertise. Whether you’re an amateur tinkering with robots in your garage or a seasoned professional pushing the boundaries of AI, we invite you to join us. Our goal is to facilitate knowledge exchange and cultivate a stronger, more inclusive community that drives technological advancement across Africa.

Règles générales pour l'inscription à ELVIATECH
Participation Guidelines for ELVIATECH 2024 Competition
ELVIATECH 2024 welcomes participation from individuals, teams, universities, high schools, colleges, companies, startups, and any legal entity interested in robotics and artificial intelligence.
Types of Participants:
1. Teams:
Teams consist of 2 or 3 members who participate together in the continuous events, comprising approximately 4-5 challenges. Teams are ranked based on the accumulated points throughout the competition.
Teams may represent universities, companies, startups, or any group of 3 individuals who wish to participate under a team name.
Universities interested in forming a team must submit a letter of request for participation signed by an authorized official from their administration. Each university is permitted to register one team.
Students representing their university must present themselves at the Sparte Robotics headquarters with an authorization letter signed by an official of the institution.
2. Individuals:
Individual participants are welcome to join the competition on their own, without forming a team.
While individuals cannot participate in the continuous challenge (completing all steps continuously), they have the opportunity to participate in one or more individual steps of their choice, up to a maximum of 3 steps.
Note:
This year, strict adherence to all steps and challenge dimensions will be enforced.
For all categories, the general rules will be made public on the specified date. However, technical specifications for each challenge will only be provided to participants after they have paid their registration fee.
We encourage all participants wishing to prepare in advance to pay their registration fees as soon as possible to receive the technical specifications promptly.

Note : Pour toutes les catégories, les règles générales seront rendues publiques à la date indiquée. En revanche, les spécifications techniques de chaque défi ne seront mises à la disposition des participants qu'après le paiement de leur droit d'inscription. Nous encourageons donc tous les participants qui souhaitent se préparer à l'avance à payer leurs frais d'inscription le plus tôt possible.

COURSES DE ROBOTS
La course consiste à créer un robot autonome capable de rivaliser avec d'autres. Le premier robot à atteindre la ligne d'arrivée sans franchir les lignes parallèles du parcours sera déclaré vainqueur.
LABYRINTHE POUR ROBOTS
Le défi consiste à construire un petit robot autonome pour compléter un labyrinthe dans le temps le plus court possible. Le robot qui part du point "START" et atteint la sortie "FINISH" dans le temps le plus court sera désigné comme le vainqueur de l'événement.
ROBOTS SUIVEURS DE LIGNE
Le défi consiste à créer un robot qui doit suivre une ligne noire tracée au sol, pour aller d'un point défini à un autre avec une certaine précision. Le robot qui aura réalisé le temps le plus court sera désigné comme le vainqueur de l'événement.
COMBATS DE ROBOTS
Le combat de robots est une forme de compétition de robots dans laquelle des machines construites sur mesure s'affrontent en utilisant diverses méthodes pour se neutraliser.
CONCOURS D'INNOVATION
Ce défi est une session de présentation de projet qui vise à cultiver les compétences des jeunes et de tous les techniciens en herbe en leur fournissant une plate-forme solide pour présenter leurs idées.

DÉFI D'INGÉNIOSITÉ
Pour ce défi, les équipes développent un véhicule entièrement autonome qui effectuera des tâches de pression liées au thème.

ROBOTS SUMO
Les épreuves de sumo robotique impliquent que deux robots essaient de se pousser l'un l'autre hors d'un ring.
ROBOTS AQUATIQUES
Il s'agit de concevoir un robot capable d'effectuer des tâches sur l'eau à une vitesse donnée.
NOTE: IL EST PERMIS D'APPORTER PLUSIEURS ROBOTS À LA COMPÉTITION MAIS ILS DOIVENT ÊTRE DÉCLARÉS AVEC LEURS SPÉCIFICITÉS AVANT LE DÉBUT DE LA COMPÉTITION. VOUS NE POUVEZ UTILISER QU'UN SEUL ROBOT PAR CATÉGORIE

Note :Les équipes participent au défi en cours qui comprend plusieurs séries d'événements

A total award of 800,000 FCFA will be distributed among the top-performing teams and individual participants. In addition to cash prizes, participants will have access to training opportunities, internships, potential job offers for the most successful candidates, and a 50% discount on membership fees to join the Cameroon Robotics Association.
